Projects that push
A novel platform for mental health assessment relying on physiological signals for both individual and group settings. EmotiphAI contains three main components: Data collector and real-time visualisation; Retrospective Emotion Annotation; and an AI Engine for emotion knowledge extraction.
An ECG monitoring solution for firefighters. It helps manage teams in the field, by instantaneously detecting, or even forecasting, eventual fatal events. The performance of the signal acquisition under dynamic conditions was assessed based on the electrode displacement.
Revolutionizing Epilepsy Monitoring with a Discreet Smart Sock: Validation of a Novel Form Factor for Multimodal Biosignal Acquisition. EpilFootSense combines e-textile technology to measure nervous system activity at the foot and an optical sensor to estimate the heart rate from the ankle.
Working while sitting down for the majority of the day leaves workers at a higher risk for health issues related to sedentary behaviour and the adoption of incorrect sitting postures. Necessity has risen to provide workers with a smart chair system for monitoring sitting posture, physiological signals and environmental conditions.
Run Like a ScientISST
From the PreEpiSeizures project, necessity as arrised to denoise multiple biosignals acquired during daily life tasks. Running and walking are some of our daily activities that, due to movement and sweat, most contaminate biosignals with noise. Volunteers are needed to run for 30 minutes while wearing multiple acquisition devices.
